We review all the education that SDA Handgun Permit holders re provided\, so though you may not pursue the permit\, you will know your legal responsibilities. There have been significant changes enacted in 2023\, 2024\, and again in 2025.

DESCRIPTION:This course satisfies the educational requirements when applying for the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act (SDA) Handgun permit. \nTHIS IS A TWO CONSECUTIVE EVENING COURSE\, Jan 21 (6pm-9pm) and Jan 22 (6pm-10pm) \nRegister at the event website link below \n\nCash is always welcome. Credit and debit cards accepted for balance plus 3.5%. Payable immediately before course begins.\nFirearm: Students encouraged to bring their own firearm. The firearm may be a semi-automatic or revolver\, .45 caliber or less\, with .22LR suggested. Pistols (22LR) with ammunition will be available for rent.\nAmmunition: Students should bring 200 rounds of factory ammunition\, or at least 100 rounds. Reloads\, commercial or home-made\, are not permitted.\nEye and hearing protection: Students should bring eye and hearing protection\, with electronic hearing protection recommended.\nClothing: Students should wear appropriate range attire\, which does not include open-toed shoes or low-cut clothing.\nOther items: Students should bring pencil and note pad.\nInstructor will provide snacks and water\, but not a meal.
