Legal Responsibilities – Carrying with Knowledge

This three-hour course follows the legal framework education required as part of the curriculum for an Oklahoma Handgun Permit (SDA).

If you obtained your permit before October 2023 or are simply Constitutionally Carrying, there have been significant revisions in your legal responsibilities, should you use your firearm or other weapon in self-defense. These revisions occurred in October 2023, November 2024, and again in March 2025.

This shortened course does NOT satisfy the certification required to apply for your permit but DOES equip you with the knowledge to carry with confidence.

Should you decide to continue with the full course and apply, you may simply pay the balance for the full course and stay for the remainder of the class time and attend the range portion. This short course is taught in conjunction with students attending the full course.
