Oklahoma SDA Handgun Permit Education

This course satisfies the OSBI education requirement to apply for your Oklahoma SDA Handgun Permit. Providing a review of the legal framework guiding lawful carry, basic safety, and shooting fundamentals. This class does NOT instruct an individual on how to shoot. Each participant should be familiar with and capable of operating their firearm.

• Cash is always welcome. Credit and debit cards accepted for balance plus 3.5%. Payable immediately before course begins.
• Firearm: Students encouraged to bring their own firearm. The firearm may be a semi-automatic or revolver, .45 caliber or less, with .22LR suggested. Pistols (22LR) with ammunition will be available for rent.
• Ammunition: Students should bring 200 rounds of factory ammunition, or at least 100 rounds. Reloads, commercial or home-made, are not permitted.
• Eye and hearing protection: Students should bring eye and hearing protection, with electronic hearing protection recommended.
• Clothing: Students should wear appropriate range attire, which does not include open-toed shoes or low-cut clothing.
• Other items: Students should bring pencil and note pad.
• Instructor will provide snacks and water, but not a meal. Restaurants are available nearby.

To successfully complete course:

• Attend entire course. Participation encouraged.
• Score 70% on the course test
• Pass the live-fire qualification
• No refunds are provided
